WELCOME TO MY STUDIO

I am an artist living in East Hampton, New York and have loved creating art for as long as I can remember. I spent over 20 years teaching art to young creatives.  They filled me with wonder and amazement on a regular basis. After all those years of sharing my love and knowledge of creating art with others, I am now creating art that comes from me.   

I attended LIU Southampton Campus where I studied painting, ceramics and printmaking and received my BS in art education. I received my master’s in education with a concentration in Creative Arts in Learning at Lesley University.  Along the way I have also continued studies in graphic design and interior design.  

As I hone my skills and style as an artist, which is always an ongoing process, I find that nature constantly inspires me.  My art has elements of nature that I find beautiful which is reflected in organic shapes, gestural lines and layered textures. Color plays an important role in my work. I find color evokes memories and emotions that are an important part of the process.  I get a real sense of joy and accomplishment when I create a piece of artwork that has a pleasing balance of beautiful color combinations and shapes that flow across the painting. The natural environment of the east end of Long Island and places I visit around the world are constant inspirations.

My hope is to offer beautiful and engaging art that gives someone pleasure. I hope you feel it too and thank you for coming to my studio.
